East Fork Journal of Arts accepts submissions from the following people:

Current and former UC Clermont students

Current University of Cincinnati students

and students currently enrolled at any two-year college, nationwide.

Please specify in your cover letter which of these categories you qualify for. If you do not clearly fit one of these requirements, your submission will not be considered.

High School students: be sure to submit your work to the High School Contest Category. Work submitted to regular submissions categories will not be considered for the contest.


 First Prize: $500 Second Prize: $300 Third Prize: $200 

  Open to all area high school students. Submit one story or work of non-fiction, or up to five poems. Poetry submissions should be all in one file, and fiction submissions should not exceed 15 pages. Please do not submit scanned, handwritten work or more than one entry. Please also include your name, grade, and school name in your file. Please submit your work double-spaced using font-size 12 pt. Times New Roman

All works must be received by January 20th, 2025.

 

Winning entries will be published in East Fork in late April.   Include in your cover letter which school and year you are in.   Example:   Jane Smith   Jones High School   Junior

Submit any amount of cross-genre submissions, in either audio or video format. Original musical compositions, spoken word poetry, dance, or short films are all acceptable examples.

Submit up to five poems, in one document, per reading period. Include in your cover letter which year you are currently in at UC, or what two-year college you are enrolled in. Please also include a brief bio.
